Welder/Steel Fabricator/Fitter

We Kiwi Constructions and Renovations Limited mainly from residential construction development. Now, we are urgently looking for full-time experienced Welder/Steel Fabricator to join us. At least 2 years’ related work experience,

TASKS INCLUDE:

• · Study plans and drawings
• · Cut and bend and fit steel or metal parts
• · Make jigs (of wood or metal) that hold parts in place for welding
• · Weld parts together
• · Take measurements and conduct work as per instructions
• · Making gates and non-commercial/ structures
• · Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
• · Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
• · Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
• · Repair and maintain equipment and machinery
• · Construct metal objects according to instructions.
• · Have the knowledge of metals and their properties
• · Have the welding skills, including an understanding of different welding processes and equipment
• · Have the ability to interpret technical drawings
• · Have knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• · Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• · Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
• · Reporting to the team leader and working as part of a team.

• Auckland City, Auckland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Welder/Steel Fabricator/Fitter: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Full Drivers License (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 100% (Required)
